At Guiding Light Montessori we aim to provide a stimulating learning experience and the very best care for your child because we understand the importance of a nurturing and safe environment. The curriculum adopts the important principles of the Montessori education while integrating practices that will allow them to be fully intellectually as well as emotionally supported by our educators. Our goal is to raise the future leaders of the world who are confident, independent and well-rounded individuals. We would love to meet you and tell you our story.

Why Montessori?

In Montessori education there is a dynamic relationship between the child and the educator which is further supported by the learning environment. The child is in charge of their own learning making it different from a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. The materials are curated to help each child to work through at their own pace and once mastered the teacher will advance them to the next level. The sequential nature of these tasks help cultivate a natural desire to learn.

Montessori activities at Guiding Light fall into these main categories which is essential to the development of the whole child:

Guiding Light Montessori caters to all children aged 18 months to 6 years with two main class groups:

The Toddler classroom focuses on the development of children aged 18 months to 2.5 years

The Casa classroom has been set up to cater to the needs of children aged 2.5 to 6 years

“The more experience a child has with real purposeful activity and solving problems, the more useful, creative and effective her imagination will become” – Susan Stephenson
