Guiding Light Montessori is proud to participate in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system, supporting Ontario families with access to more affordable licensed child care.
CWELCC is a federal and provincial initiative designed to reduce the cost of licensed child care for eligible families while supporting a strong, sustainable early years sector.
At Guiding Light Montessori, participation in CWELCC allows families to benefit from reduced child care fees while their children continue to experience the thoughtful environments, individualized learning and high standards of care that define our Montessori community.
What is CWELCC?
The Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care system was introduced to make licensed child care more affordable and accessible for Canadian families.
Through CWELCC, participating licensed child care programs receive government funding that allows eligible families to pay significantly reduced child care fees.
For families enrolled at Guiding Light Montessori, CWELCC fee reductions are applied directly to eligible child care fees. Families do not need to independently apply to the government to receive the reduced rate when their child occupies an eligible space within our participating program.

CWELCC Child Care Fees
Guiding Light Montessori follows the applicable CWELCC requirements established for participating licensed child care programs in Ontario.
Eligible families receive the CWELCC-reduced fee applicable to their child’s program and age.
Our team can provide families with current fee information, explain which fees are eligible for CWELCC funding and answer questions about how the reduced fee applies to their child’s enrolment.
Enrolment & Availability
CWELCC has made licensed child care considerably more affordable for many families and, as a result, demand for participating child care spaces can be high.
Admission to Guiding Light Montessori remains subject to program availability, licensed capacity and the availability of an appropriate space within your child’s age group.
